Hi my car makes alot of noise from underneath the front and the steering shakes alot. I live on a rural road, and own a Nissan Primera. How do i tell whats wrong?
ReplyDeleteHey mate i live on a rural road as well and it can be hard on any vehicle, sounds like a combination of suspention /steering /worn bushes, maybe a bent rim which you could chek by using yr car jack lift one side and spin the wheel looking from the front towards the rear on the edge of the rim it should spin freely without any movement left or right repeat for the opposite side chek for any bearing noise rumbling sounds while the wheels off the ground .
ReplyDeleteYou can also push the left and right fender up n down and listen for knocking/sounds which may indicate worn shock absorbers/bushes etc obviously if thats the case you may need to have it checked by an auto mechanic if you have concerns, normally most faults are picked up during a WOF check.Cheers for yr comments I hope this helps.
PS you can also do wat i do n complain to council about your roads but you gotta be on there case that helps and could save you sm money
Thank you i didnt expect an answer so soon i will take your advice and ask my brother to check. Being a working single mother of two moneys tight and i will follow your advice as im not mechanical minded. I will recommend this site to other people i know. Thanks again
